Nebula’s November 2025 Feature Release(s): Because One Update Just Wasn’t Enough
In today’s legal tech landscape, companies and platforms need to innovate holistically. It’s not enough to focus on just one or two areas of the experience most visible to customers. We must also strengthen the systems behind them. That’s why it’s crucial to invest in both front-end and back-end enhancements to deliver an experience that’s fast, intuitive, and user-friendly.
That’s exactly what Nebula Legal continues to do. And with this month’s release, we’re rolling out several updates that make working in Nebula even better. We’ll try to keep this one short, but fair warning, there’s a lot to cover! Here’s what’s new this month:
1) Resizable Sidebar
Nebula’s Review sidebar now adapts to you. When reviewing or comparing materials side-by-side, you can now adjust its width to match how you work best. Key Sidebar highlights include:
Greater flexibility and customization: The Review sidebar can now be resized up to half the window. It can also be narrowed to collapsed completely whenever you need a wider view.
The sidebar remembers: Nebula saves your preferred width during each session, so your workspace feels familiar every time you work anew.
Sleeker, updated icons: Refreshed sidebar icons give the interface a cleaner, more modern look.
2) Document List Updates
Navigating document families just got easier in Nebula with these improvements:
Smarter sorting: Organize and review related documents with new alphabetical Parent ID sorting in Document List Views.
Cleaner configuration: The legacy Top ID field has been removed from document lists and exports, reducing clutter and keeping views tighter and focused.
3) DUO Login Flow Update
Password-first authentication: Users now enter their password before DUO verification. This adds an extra layer of protection to prevent unauthorized access attempts.
Enhanced privacy: This update also prevents unauthorized users from detecting which accounts use two-factor authentication, strengthening overall account security in Nebula.
4) Export Updates
Exports and promotions can make or break a production. This month’s updates refine Nebula’s export framework to make hierarchy tracking clearer and timestamps more reliable. These updates include:
The “Export Parent” field has been renamed to “Export Family ID” for clearer hierarchy tracking.
A new “Export Parent ID” field now captures the re-numbered parent of each child document.
Email “Sent Date” values now adjust to the selected export time zone for accurate, localized records.
5) Privacy Policy Link Accessibility
Nebula’s Privacy Policy is now easier to find and is accessible from the three-dot navigation menu. This update provides quick, convenient access to information about how we protect your data and privacy.
